Assessment, preparation & re-rendering

Rendering Repairs Sydney

Apex Rendering assesses damaged masonry, failed coatings and uneven existing finishes, then defines whether a local repair or broader re-render is appropriate.

Before and after damaged brick boundary wall rendering repair in The Ponds

Start with the cause and condition

Cracks, loose material, patchy bagging and failed paint do not all call for the same treatment. Preparation can include removing unstable material, repairing suitable masonry, straightening edges or preparing an existing coating for a compatible system.

Cosmetic render work is different from structural movement. If a wall is leaning, leaking or shows significant movement, the underlying issue may need assessment or rectification outside the rendering scope before finish work begins.

Repair and re-render work in our records

  • Damaged brick boundary wall repair and refinishing
  • Re-rendering over suitable previously bagged walls
  • Extra preparation where paint or old render has failed
  • Exterior patches integrated with adjoining render
  • Full exterior re-rendering where the broader surface needs renewal

Arrange an on-site assessment

During an on-site assessment we look at the substrate, stability of existing layers, moisture, movement, edges and the extent of visible damage. The written quote can then identify preparation, repair and coating scope, plus relevant exclusions.
