What to Expect at a Rendering Quote Visit

What we look at on site, sample boards, and what your written quote should include.

22 Mar 2026 · By Apex Rendering

A good quote visit is more than a quick walk and a number. It is where scope, risk and finish expectations are aligned — so there are no surprises mid-job.

What we inspect

We review substrates (brick, block, sheet, existing render), measure approximate areas, note repairs, access, height and edges — fences, retaining walls, features and pool surrounds if relevant.

We discuss colour and texture preferences and bring sample boards where possible so you see real finish options, not only a chart.

What your quote should include

Clear scope: preparation, repairs, products, number of coats, project timeline estimate, clean-up and warranty. Ask what is excluded too — drainage works, major structural repairs or painting unrelated surfaces may sit outside render scope.

At Apex Rendering we aim to respond within 24 hours of your enquiry and include sample boards on quote visits across The Hills District and Greater Sydney.
